Lauren’s artistic journey began along the shores of New Jersey where the rhythm of the ocean and the beauty of the coastline first sparked her love for watercolor painting.  It was during her college years, however, that she discovered Martha’s Vineyard – a place that would deeply influence her work.  The island’s natural beauty of tranquil beaches, rolling hills, and vibrant sunrises and sunsets inspired her then and now, even as the world around the island changed.

As a single mom, Lauren had to set aside her art years ago to focus on raising her daughter.  But now she has more free time and has rekindled her passion to paint.  Encouraged by her daughter to share her watercolors, she is doing that here. “I feel compelled to share the beauty of the places I love through my art.  I hope that my paintings of New England coastlines, fields and farms and the gifts of Nature, bring you moments of peace, happiness and serenity as they have for me.”
